Retired Numbers

Six numbers have been retired since the franchise's inception in 1970.

When #11 was raised to the rafters, Gilbert Perreault became the first Buffalo Sabre to get his numbered retired in 1990. The The French Connection was complete when left wing Rick Martin and right wing Rene Robert were added in 1995.

The next Sabres to have their number retired was Tim Horton on in 1996, Danny Gare in 2005 and Pat LaFontaine in 2006.
